1. The operator and the applicable license
This End User License Agreement page describes licensing for companions AI, operated by companions AI. Software is licensed for use; downloading it does not give you ownership of the code or brand.
For an app obtained through Apple’s App Store, the license provided with that app governs. If no custom license is supplied through the store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application EULA applies. Publishing this page does not replace a license already supplied through the App Store. Our Terms of Service govern the companions AI service, subject to the applicable store license and mandatory law.
2. Permission and restrictions
For companions AI software supplied directly under this agreement, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use it for its intended purpose on devices you lawfully control, while you comply with the Terms of Service. Availability of direct software distribution is not promised by this license.
You may not resell or sublicense the software, remove ownership notices, bypass access or payment restrictions, introduce malicious code, or copy or modify protected code without permission. Restrictions on reverse engineering do not apply where applicable law or an applicable open-source license permits the activity. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.
3. Updates, service access and termination
Some features require internet access, an account, a compatible device or a separate purchase. Updates may change compatibility and functionality. Purchase descriptions determine paid entitlements; the license itself does not promise permanent availability, lifetime access, every future feature or unlimited AI use.
You can end direct use by uninstalling the software. We may end the direct license for a material breach under the Terms of Service. Termination does not erase mandatory refund rights, and uninstalling does not cancel a recurring subscription. Privacy requests and retention are addressed in the Privacy Policy.
4. Apple applications
For Apple-distributed applications, Apple’s applicable usage rules govern device use and eligible sharing. companions AI is the application provider responsible for its app and support; Apple does not undertake our support obligations. Warranty, product and intellectual-property claims are allocated under the applicable store license and law. Nothing on this page reduces rights or remedies under that license. Applicable third-party service terms and export restrictions also remain in force.
This page is a licensing notice and supplemental agreement for direct distribution, not a representation that a custom EULA has been submitted to App Store Connect.
5. Disclaimers and support
The AI limitations, lawful warranty exclusions, liability limits, dispute provisions and consumer-rights protections in our Terms of Service apply to software supplied directly under this agreement. Where the applicable store license conflicts with this page on software licensing, the store license controls. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
